Oh dear! We realise this is disappointing and hope you accept our apologies. Our catalogues are prepared well in advance of a season and at this time we plan to have everything available to buy.

We use many different suppliers for our different types of fabric and manufacturing processes. This does mean that there are a whole range of things that can go wrong, particularly when your quality standards are as high as ours.

In most cases we deal with issues as they occur but sometimes we can't resolve the matter in time for the new season and this can result in a delay in availability. We are always sorry when this happens, but will never sacrifice quality in favour of stock levels.

The other cause for this is that our collection is released online as the catalogues are posted out. Taking into account postal mailing timeframes, this means that the items have been on sale online for at least a week before the catalogues reach our customers. Some popular items/sizes sell out in this time (and sometimes we are unable to forecast the popularity of a particular item - such as when Prince William decided to wear one of our casual shirts to a basketball game in America, leading to it selling out immediately!). We will always endeavour to restock items as quickly as possible where we can and will include these details in our planning for future collections.

More information relating to this may be found under the help page entitled "Why is the product I want not available?"
