For a small charge we can shorten shirt sleeves, tails and trouser lengths, add pockets. We also offer a monogramming service, visit our Monogram page for more information.

Standard alterations can be made online or over the phone when ordering. Please remember that any alterations to your items can add a further 4 working days your estimated delivery timeframe.

We cannot alter the chest, waist or other dimensions of a shirt. Please see our sizing charts for the variations in fit of our shirts.

Pricing

Products purchased that have been altered in any way (including, but not limited to, sleeve shortening, addition of pockets, trouser alterations, jacket alterations and shortening of shirt tails), are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. There may be circumstances where we can arrange a replacement if the product has a manufacturing defect. You will need to contact us to arrange a return in these circumstances. Monogrammed products cannot be returned or refunded.

Shirt sleeves

We stock a wide range of the most popular collar and sleeve lengths as standard but if we don't do the sleeve length you require our Tailoring Team would be happy to shorten the sleeves of any formal shirt (and most of our casual ones) for you. The sleeves can be shortened up to a maximum of 3 inches depending on the shirt type.

Shirt tails

Our Classic fit shirts are made with 'tennis tails' which are a little longer so that they stay tucked in throughout the day, no matter how much you move around. (Not that we think you'll be playing tennis in your shirt, but you never know what the day may bring!) This is not a standard alteration so we don't offer the option online but if you require this to be shortened, just contact us and we'll do all we can to help.

Trousers

Our trousers come in three finished leg lengths (30', 32' and 34') but we also offer a shortening service. There are two styles of trouser shortening:

• Standard (not turned up) for any leg length between 27"/68.5 cm and 36"/91.5cm
• Turn up (turn up depth of 1.3"/3.5cm) for any leg length between 26"/66cm and 34"/86cm

We are not able to offer a turn up finish on thicker materials (Moleskins, cords and Non-Iron chinos).

Pockets

Whilst pockets are not attached to our formal shirts as standard, we can add a pocket to the left side of most shirts on request at a charge of $12.95 per pocket. (There are some exceptions to this, for example if the pattern is too intricate to match the pattern on the pocket, or if the material is particularly delicate, but we'll be sure to let you know if this is the case.)
